    From Merritt, head west on Highway 8 exit at Spius Creek Road and post office boxes. Cross the Nicola River then up past gate to the fish hatchery, then down and across Spius Creek. Go left on the Spius Creek Road, climbing, then turn hard right onto to Cummings Road. Following Cummings Road to the top, about 5 km, you come to James Creek Ranch. Keep straight through the ranch (easement in place) go through the big log gates (close the gate) stay left and in 600m you will be at the cabin.
