Bethine Flynn wrote 2 books, Flynn’s Cove and The Flying Flynn’s, about their life on Nootka Island and the BC coast. We had the privilege of meeting Bethine when we sold the property to Ann the current owner in 1993. She was wonderful and told us of walking up to the lake to catch trout for dinner, going out on the ocean for a few minutes to catch a salmon and dramatic stories of flying their plane up and down the coast in all kinds of weather providing veterinary service.
