DL 5192 - East Arm of Quesnel Lake

You can reach the East Arm of Quesnel Lake from either Horsefly or Likely, both located east of Williams Lake in British Columbia’s Cariboo region. From 150 Mile House, head east on Horsefly Road for about 59 km until you reach the community of Horsefly. At Clarke’s Store, turn right across the Horsefly River bridge, then continue for 1.3 km before turning left onto Quesnel Lake Road. Follow this gravel road for approximately 10 km to reach the head of the lake at the junction of the North, West, and East Arms. From this point, access to the remote East Arm is by boat or floatplane only. The East Arm stretches over 30 km into the Cariboo Mountains and is known for its steep forested terrain, alpine views, and pristine wilderness.

Alternatively, from the town of Likely, located at the west end of Quesnel Lake, you can drive 5 km to the public boat launch at Cedar Point Provincial Park or use the secondary launch at Cedar Creek Road. Once on the lake, head east across the main body of Quesnel Lake toward the confluence of the three arms, then continue northeast into the East Arm.
