You will then find yourself draw into the large, bright welcoming kitchen/dining room, perfect for a cooking or an entertaining enthusiast. The kitchen is complete with all new whirlpool, stainless fridge, stove, dishwasher and microwave. A large wooden butcher block island is central to the kitchen and offers a more relaxed eating area for the less formal occasions.

The living room is very large yet cozy as well, with 3 new windows welcoming the morning sunlight. You can also cozy up to a large rock fireplace separating the kitchen and living room.

The second floor has 3 large bedrooms and a lovely 4-piece bathroom. A cedar framed Jacuzzi tub is perfectly situated under a skylight to enjoy the mountain views. Each bedroom offers its own distinctive appeal with dormer windows, built in shelving or unique roof lines.

The basement is above ground, has opening windows and can be entered through the kitchen on the main floor or the outside. It is fully insulated, plumbed for a laundry sink and houses an energy efficient, Max Caddy wood/oil, forced air furnace.

The home is on a nicely landscaped single acre. It is off of the main highway and backs 40 acres of treed land. There are also many extra features that make this property very appealing such as a paved driveway, garden beds, established perennials and a 30-year asphalt roof. There are numerous furnishings, a ride on mower, a much mower and outdoor extras included.

The home was also inspected for the EcoEnergy Grant in 2010 and, after many upgrades, received a high EcoEnergy rating. This home and property were not affected in any way during the 2010/11 floods.

Once you reach the foot of the hill, you then follow a paved road alongside the breathtaking Atnarko and Bella Cool Rivers towards the town of Hagensborg. Just over the Nusatsum Bridge, you turn right on Quenton and left on Michelle Drive. The home is tucked back off of the road on your right.

The Bella Coola Valley can also be accessed by boat, the scenic Discovery Coast Ferry or plane.

The home is just 10 minutes from the airport with 1-hour daily flights to and from Vancouver on Pacific Coastal Airlines.

    Area Data

The Bella Coola community is remote in nature and contains a population of approximately 2,000 people. The primary geographical structure of the community, both in terms of physical structures and population distribution is the long, narrow valley. The Chilcotin Highway 20 stretches from the Government wharf (on the Pacific Ocean), through the extent of the populated portion of the valley, through Hagensborg and Firvale before climbing to the Chilcotin Plateau. The entire population of the community lives on either side of this road or very near to it.

Both Bella Coola and Hagensborg have essential services including retail outlets for groceries and hardware, gas stations and repair shops, Canada Post offices, gift shops, and places to purchase fishing/hunting licences. Banking can be done at the Williams Lake & District Credit Union in Bella Coola; ATMs are located at the Hagensborg Shop Easy, Thunderbird Store, the Credit Union and the Bella Coola General Hospital. The Bella Coola General Hospital has a walk-in clinic and a pharmacy. There is no permanent veterinary service in the Valley.

Bella Coola also has a gym, an outdoor rink, an outdoor public pool, an organic market as well as numerous arts, gifts and coffee shops.
