    Description

Spectacular and rare lakefront estate on 156 acres with 2 kilometres of lakeshore on beautiful Lake Revelstoke. Only a few private parcels exist on this expansive lake with the nearest neighbor over 7.5 kilometres away! The views from the property are truly stunning looking across to the scenic Hat Peak and majestic Frenchman's Cap.

Most of the property is covered with a healthy mature forest and all of it borders onto Crown land. The land is split by Mars Creek and Highway 23. There are 42+ acres of flat/gently sloping land with a gorgeous 1.1+ kilometre long beach and sandy point. The log home, cabin and dry shed are located on the lower 42 acre portion of the property with excellent access to Highway 23 and rebuilt quality internal roads accessing all buildings. The log home and cabin are in immaculate condition. Both were relocated from Thousand Hills Mining Camp up French Creek and meticulously rebuilt to the highest standard. The dwellings are privately tucked back from lake, but close enough for a nice late afternoon/evening breeze for some natural air conditioning.

The log home has 1,568 ft2 on one level with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms leading into a large open concept kitchen, dining, and living area that connects to a large covered deck looking out to the lake. The home is bright and spacious with high vaulted ceilings in the large entertaining area and 6 well placed solar tube lights for added lighting and efficiency. The home is well serviced with solar power, septic, running water (well), newer propane furnace in the crawl space, propane powered appliances and a classic wood stove.

The log cabin has 900 ft2 with one large bedroom, bathroom and open concept kitchen and living area. This log cabin also has a large, covered deck just steps to the lake.

A large dry shed is located in between the log home and cabin. This structure offers ample space to store all your toys out of the weather and an enclosed 11’ x 14’8 utility/storage room is part of this structure. Conveniently next to the dry shed is a low grade boat launch.

The forest along the lake and around dwellings has been manicured into a parklike setting offering views out to the lake through the trees and easy access.

A further 103 acres is fully forested and located above the road. A road/trail extends off the highway up to a flat plateau with amazing views over the lake.

On the other side of Mars Creek is just under 10 acres along the lake with a further 750+ metres of low bank lakeshore.

This is truly one of the most spectacular and rare parcels of lakefront land in BC.

Although as is it would make for a trophy property for a very fortunate new owner, there is considerable development potential into small to mid size acreages and still maintain the privacy and pristine setting for each parcel. The current zoning allows for 4 hectare (9.88 acre) parcels.

A video and photo tour have been prepared to help present the picturesque nature of this special property.

    Area Data

    Revelstoke (42 km South)

Revelstoke is a quaint mountain town of approx. 8,000 residents and many more seasonal residents. Revelstoke’s economy is stable and quite diverse based around tourism, forestry and the rail. The largest growth sector of late is tourism and the related service industry as more and more visitors come for outdoor adventures year-round. The town is also seeing a bump in young professional families who are leaving larger centres for Revelstoke but maintaining their employment while working from home. The town offers all the amenities one requires with two grocery stores, lots of shops, restaurants and cafes, all your professional services, spas, a great hospital with emergency service, great schools and a picturesque and vibrant western style town core. Revelstoke is well known as one of BC’s most desired location for outdoor recreration—skiing, heli skiing, mountain biking, hiking and much more.

    Lake Revelstoke

Lake Revelstoke might just be one of Revelstoke’s best kept secrets. Above the impressive Revelstoke Dam on Highway 23 North, the lake is a favourite hang out in the summer heat. Surrounded by stunning 360 mountain views, it’s an ideal spot for water sports, camping and other outdoor activities. Perhaps the best way to enjoy Lake Revelstoke is by water. The highway runs the length of the lake’s eastern shore, but much of the western shore is only accessible by water. Fishing on Lake Revelstoke is a favourite pastime for many local residents. Hang out and soak in the views while you try to catch kokanee salmon, Dolly Varden trout, bull trout, rainbow trout, cutthroat trout or burbot on the lake. One of the best things about Lake Revelstoke is that you can combine your zen lake time with some world class adventure trails. Above the lake is the magnificent Keystone Standard Basin (a few kilometres away from property), which makes for a fantastic mountain bike trip, hike or trail run. There’s also the Sale Mountain trails, including the Martha Creek downhill trail. One of the most popular stops on the highway is Waterworld. It’s easily accessed viewpoint might be one of the most Instagrammed places in Revelstoke and some of the most challenging rock climbing in the area is immediately below.
