Charlotte Lake is a 20 km (12.4 mi) long and 6 km (3.72 mi) wide lake located in BC’s Chilcotin region south of Nimpo Lake. It is the second largest freshwater lake in the Chilcotin region of BC and is surrounded by sandy or gravel beaches, coastal mountain ranges and pine forests. There are a wide variety of homes on Charlotte Lake with both seasonal and full time residents.
Nimpo Lake has appropriately been named the “Floatplane Capital of BC” and presently has two air charter companies providing a host of services to the many visitors. It also has many private float plane docks around the lake. Sightseeing charters are very popular because so much of this scenic area is only accessible by air.
