    Description

Presenting the Euchiniko Lodge. A multifaceted resort in one of British Columbia’s wildest regions. Accessible by road, the Euchiniko Lodge offers a dynamic wilderness experience on the eastern shores of the Euchiniko Lakes. The deeded parcel offers just under 5 acres of lakefront property with a main house, guest lodge, 5 cabins, workshop, boat house, barn, storage sheds and more. The lodge comes fully furnished and there is an extensive equipment list including off-road vehicles and boats (please contact REALTOR® for full equipment list). The buildings are of log construction with metal roofs, covered porches, wood stoves, on demand hot water, propane fridges and lights.

The deeded parcel is very flat and functionally laid out with a gentle and inviting shoreline. There are trees dispersed throughout the property to provide shade and add to the aesthetic beauty. The property has dock system for mooring fishing boats overnight. The parcel is powered via solar panels, a 15 kW diesel generator and inverter battery system. The deeded parcel is the ideal jumping off spot for the numerous recreational activities offered by the lodge and the surrounding wilderness.

The Lodge also holds a Guiding Territory Certificate, which permits an owner to undertake guided hunts for paying customers. These hunts may originate from the main lodge, or may be accessed via two Spike Camp Leases located further west on the Blackwater River.

Finally, the lodge offering comes with an Angling Licence and a Park Use Permit, which permits the lodge to offer guided fishing excursions in the Echiniko Lakes and along the Blackwater River.

This is an all-inclusive, turnkey opportunity for an adventurer who is ready to tackle the wilds of British Columbia and live the lifestyle of our pioneer ancestors. You do not want to miss this rare opportunity.

    Area Data

The Euchiniko Lakes are part of the 140-mile chain of river connected lakes. The area is remote and wild and home to some of the best fly-fishing opportunities in all of British Columbia. Originating in the Ilgachuz Mountains, the Blackwater River drains an area of approximately 12,000 square kilometres and creates unique topographical formations en route to the Fraser River. The lakes and rivers in the region are renowned for their robust population of rainbow trout who hungrily feed on dry flies throughout the year. There are prolific insect hatches throughout the summer months, which fatten the hungry fish and help sustain this great fishery.

    Recreation

Recreation is endless throughout the wider region with the following activities available:

    • Hunting
    • Fishing
    • Hiking
    • Equestrian
    • Off-roading
    • Snowmobiling
    • Canoeing
    • Boating
    • Hiking
    • Camping

The lodge is set up to assist guests with all of these activities and more.

    History

First Nation peoples originally used the Blackwater Valley as a travel corridor where Indigenous peoples from British Columbia’s interior could transport and trade furs with coastal tribes. Later Alexander Mackenzie travelled the Blackwater Valley in 1973 on route to the Pacific Ocean.
