    The Community
The Elk Park development covers over 4,000 acres, of which 3,500 acres is comprised of 16 acreage ranging from 36 - 480 acres. Each property is deeded/freehold title. The developer Fred Schickedanz summarized his vision for the community, the only one of its kind in Canada below:

“If you want to have your horses and a few cattle, you can. Or you could simply build your dream home on it and enjoy the view of the Purcell Mountains, the lake, streams and all the amenities that British Columbia’s Columbia Valley offers - fishing, skiing, golf, mountain biking, hiking - all this just three hours from Calgary and only a few mins to the town centre of Radium Hot Springs.”

This acreage offers spectacular views of the Columbia Valley and both the Purcell and Rocky Mountains.

The land is mostly forested with light to medium density forest with a few small clearings interspersed. One appealing trait, and important with large forested acreages is the land is all very accessible with a number of internal roadways and trails ideal for recreation. Also the private internal Elk Park Road (available to only a handful of owners) splits the land and adds to the accessibility.

Cliffside is also the only acreage in Elk Park that can be accessed via the south and north gate, and depending on where you build one gate may be more ideal than the other, but again for accessibility you can use both gates and access your land much easier while still remaining very private.

There are several options for building sites with some amazing view options - choose either expansive view sites of the Columbia Valley, close-up views of the Rocky Mountains or tuck your home or cabin within some private forest land. On the west side of the road you have approx. 80 to 90 acres of land to choose from and on the east side of the road there is about 140 to 150 acres.
