512 acres of pure BC mountain and backcountry awesomeness!

Located in the Purcell Mountains between 1,400 to 1,750 metres in elevation, this mountain side acreage encompasses a portion of two mountain valleys near the towns of Radium Hot Springs and Invermere.

The land offers some nice flat benches for your backcountry cabin/camp site and has both Bruce Creek and Law Creek running through the land. There is both steep and gradual slopes and other than a few acres to the north, the land is almost entirely sounded by Crown land.

Property was logged some 30 years ago and now has some healthy regrowth. A few older and deactivated forest service roads dissect the land, creating great recreational opportunities and access both within the land and beyond.

Access to the property is seasonal via Bruce Creek FSR approx. 17 km from public roads and services. Bruce Creek motorized recreational trails extend beyond the land accessing mountain peaks over 3,000 metres and looking across the valley to Panorama Ski Resort.

This is an amazing investment opportunity into a recreational paradise and longer-term timber harvesting potential as the forest matures. In winter the area is a mecca for snowmobiling both the trails leading up to the alpine and the alpine riding itself.

Vehicle access is likely not possible by early December due to snow, access by sled would be ideal. Snow melt may not fully occur for access until mid-May.

Bruce Creek FSR - Purcell Mountains

The land is located on the south side of the Horsethief Valley near Invermere and Radium Hot Springs. Law Creek which runs through the land flows into Bruce Creek which also runs through the land and then runs into Horsetheif Creek.

From Invermere head towards Wilmer. In Carry on through Wilmer to where the public road ends and becomes a gravel road. Put odometer to 0 and drive around the large pond and carry on. The land is 17 km from here and the road is fairly rugged at times. At approx. 5.3 km you will reach the turn off to Lake Enid, keep going. At approx. 14.5 km stay left, the land starts very near the junction with Ryan Creek FSR which is on the left. From here the land extends approx. 2 km along the road with land on both sides of the road. See maps.

    Area Data

Invermere is a community in eastern BC, near the border of Alberta. It is the hub of the Columbia Valley between Golden to the north and Cranbrook to the south. Invermere sits on the northwest shore of Windermere Lake and is a popular summer destination for visitors and second home owners from Calgary. The property is approx. 20 km from town via seasonal Forest Service Road. Population approx. 3,500 plus thousands more seasonal residents/cottage goers.

    Radium Hot Springs (Radium)
Located on the "warm side of the Canadian Rockies," Radium is famous for its favourable climate, beautiful geography and recreational attractions. The village of Radium Hot Springs is British Columbia's best mountain and ranch getaway village with a unique blend of natural attractions and all the conveniences of a resort town: great dining, golfing, skiing, spas, natural hot spring pools and the most beautiful alpine scenery you can imagine. You can take Forest Service Roads from the land to Radium bypassing Invermere and the highway.

The Columbia Valley is well known as a four-season recreational mecca with several world class golf courses, alpine skiing at Panorama, boating in Lake Windermere and so much more. This particular property being a backcountry acreage almost entre surrounded by Crown land offers some amazing outdoor recreation. Bruce Creek motorized recreation trails take you from the land to the alpine peaks over 3,000 metres looking across to Panorama resort and from there one could drop down o the valley bottom. The creeks on the land lure in lots of wildlife and the older logging roads make great trails for hiking, mountain biking and access around the land.
