Description: |
|
Affordable lakefront property surrounded by pristine wilderness and endless recreational opportunities. The property has 104 feet of lakeshore with a prime building site with views out towards the lush mountainside to the east. The buyer of this property will also get water rights on Arrow Lake - parking is available at Galena Bat Ferry for a vehicle and boat trailer at Galena Bay (a 25 min boat ride away).
The property is very private and used to be part of a larger district lot which was selectively logged before it was subdivided into the 17 lot water access only subdivision (a handful of lots are still available from the developer and priced from $149,000 plus GST). This property is being re-sold by the original purchaser who has already paid the GST, another reason why this is the best deal around!
The surrounding forest and crown land is comprised of hemlock, cedar and spruce. The partial clearing that has been done in the past has opened up trails and open meadows – ideal for hiking and accessing the endless crown land beyond its border.
No timeline to build, start enjoying all of what the Arrow Lakes (some of the best boating and inland coastal exploring in all of BC) has to offer.

Arrow Lakes
The Arrow Lakes are a widened portion of the Columbia River. Originally two lakes, the Arrow Lakes became one 230 km long lake due to the reservoir created by the 1960s construction of the Keenleyside Dam; at low water the two lakes remain distinct, connected by a fast-moving section known as the Narrows.
The Arrow Lakes are vast reservoirs of water that moderate winter temperatures and help retain moisture in the local atmosphere, thus greatly influencing the types of vegetation found there and creating spectacular glacial mountain views.
Narrow strips of beachland varying in width from a few meters to several thousand meters are interspersed with rocky headlands and steep cliffs along both shorelines of the lakes. These give way to heavily forested mountain sides that rise rapidly to elevations averaging 2500 meters on the west and 2700 meters on the east.
Revelstoke
Nestled high in the Monashee Mountains, adjacent to Mount Revelstoke National Park and close to Glacier National Park, the year-round playground of Revelstoke has some of the most spectacular scenery in all of British Columbia.
Flanked by the snow-capped peaks of the Selkirk Mountains to the east and the Monashees to the west, Revelstoke was proclaimed The Capital of Canada's Alps and was known as The Mountain Paradise in the early 1900s.
Population: 8100
Nakusp
In the West Kootenays, there is no better place to relax than in Nakusp, a picturesque setting at the foot of the Selkirk Mountains on the east shore of the Arrow Lakes.
Ringed by the Selkirk Mountains to the east, the Valhallas to the south and the Monashee Mountains to the west, Nakusp offers two hot springs and a host of outdoor recreational opportunities.
Nakusp is a rare Kootenay Gem, where big water, big mountains and big smiles are awaiting for anyone who takes the time to explore this vibrant community.
Population: 1800
